INU Great Books Center’s Vision

• "Great Books, Great Students" is the motto of the INU Great Books Center.

  Established in the INU Haksan Library in 2022, the GB Center has run various curricular and extracurricular programs at the university. Additionally, we aim to expand these programs by developing high school partnerships and reading programs for local citizens.

  In May 2024, Nora Demleitner, the President of St. John's College (SJC) visited the GB Center to collaborate on developing and running GB programs and to establish partnerships and networks with various educational institutions in Korea.

• University Education

  • Lectures on GB specialization/general education
  • Organization of GB discussion seminars
  • Development of GB seminars/discussion curriculum

• Secondary School Education

  • Collaboration with local education offices and middle/high schools
  • Support for GB discussion seminars
  • Support for school reading and discussion activities (On and Off-Campus)

• Adult Education

  • Support for local library GB models
  • Establishment of GB education courses for citizens
  • Support for reading and discussion activities for citizens (On and Off-campus)
