INU GB CENTER
The comprehensive educational cooperation between Incheon National University(INU) and St. John's College(SJC) began with a keynote lecture by Dr. Emily Langston, Senior Advisor to the President of SJC, at the Classical Education Experts Forum at INU in December 2023. Subsequent discussions led to the signing of an additional MOU between the presidents of both universities during President Nora Demleitner's visit to INU in May 2024. This MOU establishes a solid foundation for cooperation across all levels of education, including primary, secondary, higher, and adult education, based on student and faculty exchanges.
Specifically, from the second semester of 2024, a tutor from SJC will visit INU to co-teach liberal arts or major courses with INU faculty using St. John's seminar class method. This will also provide an opportunity to learn SJC's unique teaching and learning methods through workshops. Outstanding students in this course will have the chance to take a semester in the master's program at SJC with tuition discounts and earn credits; these credits will count towards a master's degree if the students take three additional semesters after graduating from INU. Additionally, from 2025, an INU GB Center faculty member will co-teach seminar classes at SJC's graduate school. Between May and July 2024, current SJC students worked as interns at INU GB Center, and there will also be ongoing mutual exchanges through internships and faculty/student dispatches.
